Snow Fungus is a parasitic fungus that typically grows on other fungi, particularly species of the genus Annulohypoxylon, which inhabit decaying branches of broadleaf trees. Polysaccharide extracts from Snow Fungus have been researched for their immune-modulating potential, neuroprotective properties and cardiovascular benefits. These same polysaccharides are also valued in the cosmetic industry for their moisture-retention properties and their role in enhancing microcirculation at the skin’s surface.
