Umbrella Polypore (Polyporus umbellatus) is a fungus best known for its subterranean sclerotium - a dense mycelial mass that forms in association with species such as Armillaria mellea. It has been recognised for its antimicrobial, immune-modulating, and diuretic properties, with particular relevance to managing fluid retention and supporting cancer care.
